Stories to make you sticky...

At least I hope that's the general effect they have. I know some of you couldn't care less about the sexual encounters that I go to great lengths to describe – which baffles me somewhat (but if you're here for the scenarios more than the sin then more power to you!).

For those who take a lot more pleasure in reading about others being pleasured, have I got a book for you this month! The second part of Illicitly Grateful is ready and awaiting your delectation. It's bound to divide audiences given the revelations within – and the way some characters respond to them! – but whether you think Michael is deserving of punishment or redemption, there's plenty of sex to enjoy along the way!

What's this about, again?

Beautiful bisexual Emily is rescued off the streets by rich 'Silver Fox' Michael who seems to want nothing in return for turning her life around. But after a chance encounter in a hotel bar where Michael has been stood up by an escort, Emily realises there's a way she can show exactly how grateful she is.

Didn't the first one end on a sinister note?

Well indeed. Turns out the meeting in the hotel might not have been as 'chance' as it first seemed. And Emily soon realises there are other women who feel indebted to Michael and are willing to share themselves with him by way of thanks.

Urgh! Does this mean Michael is a complete and utter bastard?!

To say any more would spoil things, but that's certainly one reading of the situation. But the more Emily learns, the more she wonders if Michael is a monster than needs exposing or a lonely man that needs 'fixing'.

What kinks are explored in this book?

After the straight sex and sordid voyeurism of part one, part two really leans into Emily's bisexuality and sees her interact with a busty masseuse and some bi-curious ladies. And Michael may get a little more attention from our conflicted heroine.

I can't find this series when I search on Amazon!

That's because this story is on Amazon's 'naughty list' for reasons that I can neither work out nor rectify. The mighty conglomerate often 'dungeons' titles it deems break their content guidelines in sometimes very weird or nonsensical ways. Bottom line: Illicitly Grateful has been removed from Amazon search results. The only way to access it is via my author page on Amazon or with a direct link (like the one below)...

Galatea hosts a Hawkland classic

*Not a Sexual Service has a new home...

The more astute among you may have noticed that the free book I use to tempt readers into subscribing to my newsletter has changed recently. That's because the folk at Galatea now have exclusive rights to publish my popular erotic massage short on their platform. If you're interested, I thought I'd share some insights into the process.

They whipped the story into better shape

Part of the deal is that you get a professional story editor and proofreader to go through the book and make corrections and narrative suggestions. I had a great experience talking through the plot and characters with my assigned editor and she convinced me to make some changes to the story and even create a brand new happy ending (apt for an erotica massage tale)!

They gave it a crappier cover (IMHO)

They insist they do research to create covers that appeal to potential readers but I'm not sure I'm thrilled with the results... the cover model bears no resemblance to the main female character and she's presented as the client – not the therapist! But hey, I get no say in it. What do you think? My original home-made cover is on the left, and theirs on the right...

They now want to tie me into a tighter contract...

But I'm waiting a while to see whether this experiment works out for me, first. Royalties are only provided every three months, so it's going to take a spell to see if the money I made when this title was on Amazon is better or worse than what Galatea brings.

Is Galatea any good?

I get a free subscription as part of the deal and I have to say I think it's pretty cool! You get a LOT of stories on the app right at your fingertips and they're doing interesting things in terms of animating some tales, adding audio, and generally making them more 'experiential'. I can only imagine what that's going to be like with some of the erotica they have!
